Everybody was sound asleep except one person. Lauren was still up late plotting her next devilish move. Lauren was expecting a call late that night from a friend. This particular friend was giving Lauren the inside scoop on all the wedding-related events going on that weekend. Just then, Lauren’s phone rang. It was her inside man.

“Hello?”

“Hey, Lauren, I had to sneak into the bathroom just so I could talk to you. How’s everything going?”

“Everything’s going wonderful. How’s everything going with you and your lady?”

“Oh, everything is going great. She’s in bed sleeping right now, and that’s why I had to come into the bathroom to talk to you. I don’t want to wake her up.”

“Well, anyway, I don’t want to hold you any longer. All I wanted to know is what time is the wedding? I know it was moved to tomorrow. You guys can’t fool me.”

“The wedding is tomorrow.”

“What time?”

“It’s around the same time that it would’ve been today.”

“Thanks so much, my dear friend.”

“No problem. And I also wanted to tell you that I loved the way you man-handled Thomas today.”

“That’s nothing new. I’ve been doing that for years.”

“I also like the way you told his new girlfriend off as well. I hope you really get a chance to do the same thing tomorrow.”

“You just sit back and watch me SNAP on both of ‘em tomorrow, my friend.”

“I honestly think that Thomas’ new girlfriend is scared of you.”

“Oh, I know she is.”

“You should start a fight with her tomorrow. I want to see you knock her ass clean out. I would truly pay to see that.”

“Oh, don’t worry. You may just get what you wish for. When I get through with Ms. Tonya, she’s going to need a new set of teeth.”

“YES!”

“She has to understand that Thomas will always belong to me. So, my true, wonderful, and dear friend, you just sit back and enjoy the ride. Because this will be a day that you’ll never forget. Goodnight!”

“Goodnight, Lauren.”

The night went on and everybody was getting a good night’s sleep for the big wedding the following day. Thomas and Tonya slept all through the night, but Lionel had too much on his mind to sleep.

“Why are you still up?” asked Sheila.

“I can’t sleep. I have too much on my mind. This fucking job is really stressing me out.”

“Don’t let it get to you, babe. Just get some sleep. We had a long day today.”

“I know. Goodnight, Sheila.”

“Goodnight, love.”

When morning finally arrived, things got off track very quickly. Gregory had gone out to fetch breakfast while Katherine waited back at their hotel room. Katherine was walking around the room when someone knocked on the door.

“Who is it?”

“It’s me.”

“What do you mean ‘it’s me?’” asked Katherine. “Who’s me?”

“It’s me, Todd. Now open up.”

Katherine opened the door, and there stood Todd standing there with a reckless boner.

“Yummy, just what the doctor ordered. Now bring that sweet thing to me, babe,” Katherine said. “I’ve been craving you all morning. I couldn’t wait for that sucker to leave.
